Dr. Berkowski is a Catholic pediatrician who graduated from Marquette University summa cum laude with an Honors Bachelor of Science in Physics before proceeding on to Wayne State University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Michigan in 2013. She then cared for patients in both academic and private hospital settings, most recently at the University of Michigan’s Mott Children’s hospital, prior to joining Emmaus.
Her particular interests include care of infants, medically complex children, ADHD, behavioral health, anxiety, depression, weight management, preventative care, sports medicine, and of course, healthy children. Procedures she offers include freezing of warts, stitches, abscess drainage, simple skin lesion biopsies, cauterization of umbilical granulomas, and tie off of extra digits. She believes the ultimate question in care management is, “What would I want the pediatrician to do if this patient was my own child?”
Dr. Berkowski offers in office visits as well as video visits via the patient’s computer or smart phone for established patients. She is licensed in both Michigan and Indiana.
