Korisma obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Stony Brook University in New York and her
Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan. She utilizes a trauma-informed approach
to help clients address concerns such as women’s issues, intimate partner violence, depression, anxiety,
sexual assault, relationship issues, self-esteem, and stress/coping.
Korisma walks with clients through life’s challenges and provides support in a safe, nonjudgmental
environment where clients are empowered to recognize their strengths as they explore their concerns,
heal, and grow. In practicing from a multi-cultural and client-centered lens, she understands that
each client is different and collaborates with clients to ensure treatment is tailored to their unique
